World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is an international day for education, recognition and activism against social stigma in the area of global mental health. On the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a multinational mental health organization with representatives and connections in over 150 countries, it was first celebrated in 1992.
On 10 October each year, World Mental Health Day is celebrated, with the overall goal of raising awareness of mental health problems around the world and mobilizing efforts to improve mental health. For all those focused on mental health issues, The Day offers an opportunity to speak about their efforts and what more needs to be done to make mental health services a priority for people around the world.
